Suffolk Punch is a collective of five Suffolk-based poets – Elaine Beckett Annie Freud Jacqueline Saphra Robert Stein and Tamar Yoseloff.
While they share a common place their poems embrace a variety of themes and styles. Elaine Beckett's poems have been called compassionate and witty, poised and profound.
The Poetry Archive describes Annie Freud as a poet with real gusto who takes an obvious delight in language. Jacqueline Saphra's work has been called fearless and forthright while Robert Stein is a master of the dramatic monologue and Tamar Yoseloff's poems are dark sensuous and evocative.
This will be a terrific evening of poetry from five writers who are in turns serious, playful and powerful – and always entertaining.
