We are off to a good start!
We asked for your support during the traditionally slow months of September, October and November and we’re off to great start. What looked like a slow September was turned around and October is also looking promising. Yet again it shows what can happen when a community comes together. We hope everyone had a good time, and we look forward to your continued support in the run up to Christmas.
Just to remind you we are open 7 days a week for lunch and evening service, offering a wide range of beers and wines together with an exciting food menu. Why not brighten up those autumn days with our legendary Sunday Roasts along with our own take on Pub Classics or other mid-week specials such as our Pie and Pint Thursday. Whatever your taste and whatever the occasion you will be sure to find good food and drinks and a warm welcome at The George.

Written by Dr Tony Stroker this is a delightful read for anyone interested in the history and architecture of a local ale house and hotel situated on the main route from London to Gt Yarmouth.

200 Club - Fancy a Flutter?
The George 200 Club is a great way to support our ‘Gilding the Building’ campaign which has already raised over £19,000, half of which is taken in prize money the remainder, funding projects for the pub such as blinds and curtains, sound proofing and landscaping the garden.
Our future target is to raise enough to make our outside garden wheelchair friendly. This will require replacing the shingle surface with sandstone paving to match the front elevation of the building.
Each ticket for our monthly lottery costs just £5.00. It’s a good time to join as prizes are worth double in our December end of year draw.
